List of Biblioblogs Resource

N.T. Wrong has compiled a list of biblioblogs (Biblical Studies blogs) which currently lists some 110 blogs. He has divided them up by content and rated them on a scale of very conservative to very liberal. The divisions go as follows:
General, Translation and Linguistics, Theory and Reception, Early Judaism, Early Judaism and ANE, Early Judaism and Judaism (Iyov), and Early Christianity (I’m listed here). I’m listed as “Very Conservative” due to my doctrine of Scripture (inerrancy). He has also given a conservative/liberal breakdown to show why he has rated the blogs as he has.

There’s definitely been some work put into this, which I greatly appreciate. It is a welcome resource that I’m going to enjoy going through. I recommend you all doing the same. Make sure to read voices outside of your own label (conservatives, read liberal blogs, and vice versa).

    Interesting… I wonder how I ended up in the “Early Judaism” and “Very Conservative” categories?!

    Yeah, I was wondering about the Judaism thing myself when I saw you. In everything but theology I might have rejected “Very Conservative” but with theology, the most I could say is that I might bleed into “fairly conservative” but mostly rest firmly in “very conservative.”

    Re: Theme. Thanks, I’m really digging it as well. I figure it might stick around for awhile.

    Yeah, I’m trying to keep both feet in the “translation and linguistics” bucket these days. And my support of (very) functional translation might not qualify me as “very conservative”!

    Re: Theme. Not to go too much off-topic, but did you install the inline comments plugin or did that come with the theme?

    Cool… I’ve seen Carrington referenced several times now, but hadn’t seen before. I’ve been playing around with PrimePress as well…

    P.S. I see that I’ve been moved into the “Translation and Linguistics” bucket… that’s probably a better fit.

    I think it is interesting that “inerrancy” falls under Very Conservative.
    Seems like only 200 years ago that was normative. I wonder who moved…
