I just received my copy of the NLT Study Bible in the mail today, thanks to the good folks at Tyndale Publishing. I’m going to be spending the next few days soaking in it, and a review will be forthcoming. On pure aesthetics alone, the Bible looks gorgeous. I think its going to be a treat, so let’s get into this thing and see what comes up.
Also, in light of Nick’s post [Dude, how are you not on my blog list yet? Mea culpa] on the same topic, I just want to say: I agree. There will never be a better Joker. (I just saw it last night).
Be sure to check out the NLT Blog, and the NLTSB Blog. The guys and gals there are pretty rad. Check it out, even if you’re Tim Challies. (Sorry Tim. I had too. Even though you’ll never read my blog.)

Bryan: I just got mine today too, and I concur, it’s gorgeous! I’ve skimmed through it and so far the only things I found problems with was the thinness of the paper, but obviously any thicker and the book would be too big to be useful, and I found the lone page at the back for taking notes to be ammusing. Thousands of pages of text and we have one little page for notes! Ha!
Oh, and I have some blogroll updating to do as well, so don’t worry about it.
Hopefully we can get some nice images of various parts of the book please?

I definitely will take some pictures, but they may be more delayed than the review itself. I’m at home with mom for the weekend while she recovers from surgery, and I left my camera 5 hours away.
waiting patiently. I would like to buy one for Christmas and will compare it to the new ESV study bible coming out.
